The Captain Expansion Project in the North Sea for Texaco included an expansion platform to provide facilities for oil and gas production. We provided the engineering, procurement, fabrication, load out, hook up and commissioning for the platform, which is linked to the existing Captain field wellhead production platform.

The new facility developed Captain's field and provided extra facilities needed for oil and gas production. The platform addition consisted of a 3,200 metric ton jacket and a 4,600 metric ton topside facility, which was linked to the existing Captain platform by a 230 metric ton bridge. All of this was placed in 110 meters of water. By building the extra platform, oil production could increase to 100,000 barrels per day, gas production to 30 million of standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), and water injection to 40,000 barrels per day.
